Plieņciems Dune Nature Reserve

This is one of the few grey dunes in Latvia – dry, sandy landscapes, characterised by a valuable and diverse species composition. A typical plant community featuring heather, bryophytes, and sand mosses. The dune is also home to heat-loving insect species, such as sand bees and ants, which are rarely found elsewhere in Latvia.
