Walking trails



Jūrtaka (E9)
Latvian coastal section of the European E9 trail, which runs through Abragciems from Bērzciems to Engure. The route is approximately 20 km long and of moderate difficulty. The hike takes around five hours, offering beautiful coastal views, stretches of natural vegetation, and places to rest both along the coast and in nearby villages.
Start/destination point: Bērzciems, Jūrtaka marked with white-blue paint and signs.

Mežtaka (E11)
A long-distance hiking trail that crosses Latvia – starting in/crossing Kurzeme, and the surroundings of Engure. In Latvia, the trail stretches for around 674 km, with sections near Abragciems leading through pine forests and along peaceful country roads.

Lake Engure and the surrounding country roads
Located about 5 km from the campsite, the gravel roads around the lakeshore are perfect for cycling and leisurely walks. Excellent opportunities to explore nature and enjoy birdwatching, particularly in spring and autumn.

Ķemeri National Park cycling and walking trails
Located around 20–25 km away, with trails suitable for both short walks and longer excursions.
